Established as an entity by Adhengo Boaz & Associates, Project Nabuur [PRONA] is an impact-first fund investing in early-stage social enterprises to expand opportunity for people living in poverty within Kenya. The fund was created to address the “pioneer gap” by supporting early stage social enterprises with a combination of investment capital and board-level advisory support. We will work with lawyers, artistes, entrepreneurs, and Christians around the world. The organisation draws upon volunteers and supporters who are enthusiastic about our agenda and wish to take part in our movement; working to get great art to everyone by championing, developing and investing in artistic experiences that enrich people’s lives.
The purpose of this project is to provide investment opportunity in Art by focusing on the development of talents to practical creative persons who are fundamental to the future of commerce in Kenya and are seen as our best route out of poverty. We do this through community projects, tours for children, seminars, social events, and much more. Hitherto, the name NABUUR is a dutch word meaning villages, hence our desire to work as social enterpreneurs within the various Kenyan communities.
Our mission is to serve the people of Kenya by fostering arts of the highest quality through investment, research and advocacy. We believe the arts to be the foundation of a confident and cultured society. Our vision is of a confident, cultured Kenya where everyone takes part in the arts. We offer a unique perspective on creativity and it’s audiences. Our strategic leadership – development, funding and advocacy – is underpinned by specialist knowledge and experience in the management and delivery of the arts at national and regional levels.
We are committed to provide comprehensive advice and cost effective coaching to the new business ventures that are joining to become part of our identity.
To meet the challenging need of Kenya’s new democratic order prevailing in our country, we are committed to advancement of all previously marginalised communities and sectors involved in the creative industry.
